I am also going to be doing the master bedroom adjacent to the master bath where I am working on the vanity/jacuzzi surround. Three walls in the master bedroom will be done using a Brown Suede Lusterstone. The focal point wall, where the headboard will be, will be done in a sand colored polished plaster with 3 floor to ceiling panels featuring bamboo. The center panel will be 30" wide and the 2 other panels will each be 15" wide. Here are the two options I will be presenting to the clients:
The brown is the Brown Suede Lusterstone and the bamboo stalks are recessed a bit into the Brown Suede. The bamboo stalks are the sand toned polished plaster that is on the length of the entire wall.
This panel shows the Brown Suede Lusterstone troweled through a stencil of bamboo leaves. The background is the sand toned polished, which does not photograph well. 🙁
My vote is for the tall bamboo stalks… so I will say a little prayer to my favorite saint, St. Catherine of Bologna, who is the patron saint of artists/painters. I’ll let you know which sample is chosen, if any!
