I just went in and did a finish up of a job just like that for a contractor I know, he couldn’t run the finish crown in a kitchen so I went and did it for him. I probably won’t get paid out of it, but I will make it up later off him. It is good to hear that the clients saw through the "GC" and saw how good your work was. It always makes one feel better when that happens, it shows that you actually do stand out.
Good job on keeping a blog about the business side of things, I hope it helps you connect with clients in a good way.
