Well, after a slight delay in getting back home… I’m finally back. Yesterday, when I was returning from Charleston to Boston, via Washington, DC, my flight was canceled to Boston due to the weather. The plane sat on the tarmac for 4 hrs before returning to the gate and letting us all off. No flights were left for that day, so I had to wait until this morning to fly back to Boston. Luckily, I have a brother and sister in law living in D.C., so I called them up and spent a fun evening at their place, playing with my adorable 2 year old nephew.
Yesterday I spent the morning traveling and the remainder of the day unpacking and trying to get myself organized and back in something that would resemble work-mode. I was more successful with the laundry, not so successful getting much work done!
I made some very fun sample boards in my classes at the Sali Convention. I had all my samples shipped from the hotel, so I am hoping they arrive in a day or two. Once here, I will photograph and post more about the classes. Without the samples to show you, it would just be a bunch of boring text that would be confusing to try to visualize what I am describing!
Just before I left for Charleston, I did another location for the Learning Zone, the series of Day Care Centers I have been working on locally. I am using all of the same designs in each one, just adjusting as needed to fit the space.
I continue to be amazed at the savvy business skills of owner Melissa Ananias. I don’t normally mention my clients by name, but this young, single Mom is filling a need for reliable, safe day care options. I invite you to check out her website here.
