This week I hope to be making great progress with this job. My concentration will be on finishing the foyer. This foyer is 18′ high, about 8′ wide, and maybe 16′ long. The biggest problem has been that the walls are not at all even…in fact, one wall I now refer to as "the Wave Wall". Why or why this company opted not to correct this major flaw is beyond me. You will not be able to detect "the Wave Wall" in these before pics, but when I post the next series, you sure will see what I mean! I have help this week to do this foyer, yeah!!! Stacy, who is also a decorative painter, will be tackling the heights. Did I mention my fear of heights? Yikes, these 2 story foyers are just not for me. Stacy seems to have little fear of the high scaffolding, so I am doing the bottom half… up to about 12 feet and she is doing all the wall space above that. I’ll move onto the Lounge at some point tomorrow, while Stacy hangs out on the scaffolding in the foyer.
This wall on the right is actually "the Wave Wall". The brown ceiling is in the center of the foyer and then is open up to 18′ high before and after this low ceiling. The ceiling will also have a little embellishment when I am done! 🙂
Center of foyer… under the low ceiling.
Here’s a look above the center of the foyer to the 2nd floor. The WiFi Library is on this second floor. I will be doing a finish in there too. That’s on the left in this picture. To the right, not visible, is the Lounge.
