Here’s a closer look at this fabulous pattern. It’s from Royal Designs Moroccan collection and comes in two sizes. I was searching for some time, for just the right pattern for this space. I wanted a small scale print, but something fun with a timeless, yet contemporary feel. Lo and behold… an email appeared in my inbox from Royal Designs, featuring this new stencil! The answer to my design dilemma solved!
Now the many outlets on this small wall do not jump right out at you, since I stenciled the pattern right onto them.
My client, Ashlee and I, had a lot of fun playing with the placement of objects on the desk and shelves above, trying to find just the right balance. Here we tried it with just the under cabinet lighting. We decided to keep the center fairly open and uncluttered to better see the pattern and then bring your eye up to the shelves above.
