Another quick job I completed in one day was this simple, one color glaze. My client simply wanted the walls to be a bit lighter, so it’s a basic Linen White glaze mix to lighten it up. Sorry the photo is such poor quality, but the lighting was bad and the color and technique are so subtle it did not photograph well.
Boy, I remember… back in the day, when I did one of these jobs after another. This was way before all these great decorative products came on the market and more and more classes became available to learn how to use the products in creative ways. There are so many options for wall finishes now, that the simple, one color glaze is often overlooked. It is timeless, a classic finish that just gives a room a soft glow. This room was done using a very soft ragging technique, so it does not have a lot of movement. It’s not dated, like the old "sponge" technique.
