When I attended the April NEWBO dinner meeting there was a very fun favor at each place setting.
The dinner was sponsored by a construction company, so at each place setting was a chocolate tool! The tools varied: hammer, screwdriver, saw, etc. They were quite intricate and very delicious! I ate mine, or else I would show you! Recently, my brother hosted a 60th bday party and asked me what he should do for party favors. I immediately thought of those clever tools and suggested he give Linda Rosenburg of Double Dipped a call. The birthday party was being held at The Elephant Walk, which has a French and Asian menu and the guest of honor is a French teacher. Linda made the best favors! I wish I had a picture to post, but I gave mine to my daughter, who took it off to college with her. The favors were clear plastic Chinese take-out containers with 2 chocolate fortune cookies inside. Each of the "cookies" had a fortune that was in French and translated in English. They were a huge hit. When I picked the chocolates up from Linda, she included this adorable paint brush for me! Sorry the picture is not that great, but you get the idea. At least I did not eat it before thinking of taking the pic! I think these paint brushes will make a great thank you gift for my clients! Maybe I will put some in a hand painted flower pot I make and give to my clients at the end of a job. What do you think???
