Oh my. I never thought the day would come when I would actually be installing one of these, but my client purchased this a few years ago, had it rolled up in a spare room, and found it recently. Since I was already at her house working on that dining room with the silver leafed ceiling and 2 silver built in cabinets, she asked me if I would put the decal up in the boys bedroom.
I’ve did the boys room a few years ago, with some fun bubbles all over the walls… and in their bathroom too.
I don’t know where she purchased this design, since it was a few years ago, and she bought it on line, so I am sorry I am not able to link back to a source for you. In this photo above, you can see the fainter bubbles, that I painted near the boy’s knee, butt, and to the right of his feet.
Again, you can see one of the bubbles I painted, showing faintly behind the more opaque, decal bubbles. While this would have been fun and easy to paint the boy blowing the bubbles, I do like the look, coupled with the painted bubbles. The reason I typically don’t like decals is that they are so flat looking, without dimension.
I like the look of using these designs, in combination with some dimensional paint effects, but of course, I would prefer to use just paint to achieve this look! 😉

As decals go this is rather nice and is made all the better for the added dimension of the painting. A very pretty look.
