Stripe Hell

Stripe hell Now I have finished the orange striae on all of my stripes, even the ugly green stripes are now done. Once this step was complete, I pull off all of the blue tape for the stripes. I let the wall dry overnight before re-taping for the thinner stripes.

Now you see the smaller stripes taped out. There are 32 of them, but who’s counting.

Detail of stripe tape If you recall my original sample, I had a light gold in the center of this thin stripe, two 1/4" metallic burnt orange stripes on each side, and one 1/8" gold stripe down the center.

A change has been made. The center of the stripe will now be a deeper gold and two 1/8" burnt orange stripes will run down each side. Here is a detail look of my taping. I used many, many rolls of tape. So many rolls, I thought I would never finish. When it was taped like this, I then did the gold layer. Once dry, I had to re-tape again… over the gold and pull off the white tape to add the burnt orange. Now if the multiple steps of taping were not enough to drive me insane, I had the added dilemma of the tape now peeling off the wall as fast as I could tape it. To do the burnt orange stripes I could only tape ahead 3-4 stripes at a time. This whole process ate up two days and a lot of my patience.

I took breaks and played with my iPhone. I learned how to take pictures with the phone and how to send them in text messages. I was nervous using my phone because my new case that I ordered had yet to arrive, so it was "naked" and susceptible to my grimy paint fingers.

When I first wrote about my new iPhone, one of the comments I received told me about a great online site to order a case, so I went to the Incipio website and placed my order. Btw, if you become a fan of Incipeo on Facebook before you place an order, you will receive a code number for a 15% discount.

Front Back This case is perfect for me. It’s two parts, a silicone cover (the purple) and a clear, hard plastic that fits over the back and 4 corners (like a bumper). Now it is very easy to clean and I am much less anxious about dropping it. Thanks Tatjana!
