My absence from this blog has been due to the preparation of launching my new line of PetMats, Placemats for Pets. I’m very excited about these mats, so I hope you will be too! They are very fun to make. I am taking some of my favorite wall designs and finishes and adapting them to these canvas PetMats. I am using RocLon Multi-Purpose Cloth for the canvas and sealing with four coats of a waterbased poly. They clean up easily with a damp cloth or sponge. PetMats are for indoor use on hard, flat surfaces and are not suitable for carpeted floors.
To test, I have sold them at a few local Holiday craft shows in the Boston area recently. I have one more craft show, sponsored by the Hanover Newcomers Club. This event will be held on Saturday, December 4th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Hanover Middle School, 45 Whiting Street, Hanover, MA… for anyone local who would like to stop by and visit me! If you do plan to stop by and are looking for a specific breed of dog or cat, please email me ahead of time so I can be sure to have one on hand for you to view.
I will be selling PetMats primarily through my Etsy Shop which you can find here. Again, if you do not see the particular breed, color or size you need, just email me. It’s taking me forever to get all the photos up on the Etsy site because I have to resize every photo I have.
PetMats come in two sizes, Small: 14" x 19, $23 and Large: 16" x 27", $28. Three dollars from each PetMat sold will be donated to MSPCA-Angell.
